Prof. Zhenping Feng

Dr. Feng is a professor at the Institute of Turbomachinery, School of Energy & Power Engineering, Xi’an Jiaotong University, where he received his academic degrees of BS, MS and PhD, respectively. He has been a visiting scholar at Institute of Space System, University of Stuttgart, Germany, from Nov. 1993 to Nov. 1994, and a DAAD visiting Professor at Propulsion Lab, Berlin University of Technology, Germany, in later 1998.

His research focus is mainly on the turbomachinery aerodynamics and design optimization, advanced cooling technology for turbomachinery, aero-thermal coupled performance in turbine cascades, steam turbine and wet steam condensing flows, etc. At present, he leads the Shaanxi Engineering Lab of Turbomachinery and Power Equipment, and also the AECC CAE – XJTU United Innovation Center for Advanced Turbine Optimization Design Technology of Aero Engine.

He was awarded the Excellent University Teacher, and two National Awards for Teaching Achievement by the Ministry of Education of China, three Provincial and Ministerial Awards for Science and Technology Achievements, and also a SAGE Best Paper Prize 2018 by Journal of Power and Energy, Proceedings of IMechE.
