Xiaoshu Cai is Professor and Head of the Institute of Particle & Two-phase Flow Measurement (IPTFM), University of Shanghai for Science & Technology, China. He received his PhD from the Shanghai Institute of Mechanical Engineering in 1991. Currently he is chairman of the Division of Multi-phase Flow Measurement Techniques, the Chinese Society of Metrological Measurement (CSMM) and honor vice chair of the Division of Multi-phase Flow, the Chinese Society of Engineering Thermal Physics (CSETP), honor chairman of Shanghai Society of Particuology, and the members of editorial bodies of some international journals and Chinese journals. His major research interesting is particle sizing techniques, two-phase flow measurement techniques, environmental monitoring, combustion diagnosing and turbomachinery. He has published over 200 papers in international and Chinese journals and conferences, and has more than 20 patents.
