Entering University of Science and Technology of China in 1980. Studying at Dept. Aerospace Engineering, Nagoya University by Scholarship of China. Obtained Ph. D. in 1991 and worked as assistant professor then. Scholar at National Aerospace Laboratory, Japan during 1994-1996. Prof. at Dept. Mechanics and Engineering Science, and Director of Institute on Aerospace Research, Peking University.

Board Member of Institute of Dynamics and Reactive Systems, Chinese Society of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Society of Aerodynamics; Member of Aeroengine Branch, Chinese Society of Aeronautics and Astronautics, International Scientific Committee on CFD, Pressure Gain TC Committee of AIAA.

Books 2, Journal Publication 84, Conference Papers 153, including 12 plenary talks, cited 512 in SCI and EI, in Chinese, English and Japanese. Accomplished more than 20 research projects. Obtained Science and Technology Award of Youth in 1998, Outstanding Young Scientist Fund in 1999.
