Haldane Dodd
Haldane Dodd is Executive Director at the Geneva-based Air Transport Action Group (ATAG). This organisation, the only global grouping of players from across the aviation industry, brings together airports, airlines, air navigation service providers, aircraft and engine manufacturers and SAF producers to agree common goals.
ATAG’s current mission is to provide a platform through which the aviation sector is working to reduce its climate change impact. ATAG works with Principal Partner members ACI, IATA, CANSO, Airbus, ATR, Boeing, GE Aerospace, Pratt & Whitney, Rolls-Royce, Safran and Thales to ensure aviation is able to respond to global decarbonisation and sustainability objectives.
Previously, Haldane was Head of Communications and Advocacy at ATAG and Communications Manager with Airports Council International World where he worked on issues such as the environment, security and airport economics.

Room: Opus
Title: Shaping the Future of Aviation
Moderator: Sean Bradshaw (Pratt & Whitney, USA)
Panel speakers: Haldane Dodd (ATAG, Switzerland), Angela Kimber Ehlich (Woodward, USA), Hiroki Minami (IHI Corporation, Japan)
Abstract:
International aviation connects the world and enhances economic vitality. The air transportation sector has proposed several possible pathways for reducing its environmental impact while meeting the rising demand for its services. This includes fleet renewal, advanced airframes, advanced propulsion, synthetic aviation turbine fuels, and hydrogen. This panel will discuss the global benefits of innovation and technology development in the air transportation sector, highlight key technical and economic challenges posed by the decarbonization challenge, and provide insights into the future of aviation.
