Investment potential of LNG Energy

Day 1: Designed for investors and engineers who need to gain an in-depth understanding of the financial considerations of LNG projects

Potential for investing in the LNG market is high, but considerations are extensive. Day one of our LNG Workshop next February is designed for people interested in investment potential and considerations of the LNG market; from geopolitics, supply and demand, CAPEX, and OPEX through the entire LNG lifecycle.

Investment Potential of LNG

With a worldwide increase in demand for natural gas, driven by the continued growth in global energy consumption, and a push towards a green transition, we are experiencing a growing demand with a large number of liquefaction and export projects currently underway. These projects require a significant amount of capital investment, which is providing a major boost to the LNG market. As a result, the LNG market is currently experiencing strong investor interest and is expected to continue to do so in the future. Additionally, where LNG has typically been more costly than natural gas, there are now some instances where the relationship has flipped due to infrastructure limitations, scarcity and uncertainty about future supplies. Consequently, making it an increasingly attractive option for power generation.

The global LNG market has nearly tripled in size over the past decade and is expected to continue to grow in the future. This growth is being driven by increases in both supply and demand. On the supply side, new LNG production facilities are coming online in Qatar, Australia, and the United States. On the demand side, China and India are leading the way, as they look to reduce their dependence on coal. However, it is important to note that the LNG market is not free and geopolitics can have a major impact on the price of LNG.

Workshop program overview

Our workshop will discuss the LNG sector concerning geopolitics, the supply, and demand for Liquefied Natural Gas within free and restricted markets. You will also gain an understanding of the LNG Lifecycle from Liquefaction, Shipping, and Re-gasification. We also address capital expenditure (CAPEX) for building the liquefaction, shipping, and re-gasification infrastructure, and operational expenses (OPEX) operating cost of an LNG facility.

Consideration must also be given to Environmental issues, GHG emissions, Carbon Capture, and the related process licenses.
