Forum22 Speakers: Jerome Bonini

Jerome Bonini, is Vice President Research and Technology of Safran Aircraft Engines. He is in charge of R&T program teams, leading commercial and military future propulsive systems and technology maturation plans.

He joined Snecma Design Office in 1997 where he led development of aerodynamic and mechanical simulations tools. Dr. Bonini was head of Flight Tests and Istres site Director, where he led SaM146 and TP400 tests. He also served as Military Engines Chief Engineer and developed the last version of M88 engine. He most recently was General Manager of Propulsive System Design Office where he took part in LEAP engines development.

He is graduated from “Ecole Nationale des Arts Metiers”, earning a PhD in mechanical engineering. He is a member of French 3AF association. He received in 2019, on behalf of Safran Aircraft Engines, the Aviation Week Commercial Aviation Award for the OpenRotor concept.
