The Global Power and Propulsion Society has issued a Call for Papers for its 2021 International Technical Conference to be held in Xi’an, China on the 19th – 21st November. The Conference’s focus lies on a Global Vision of Greener Power and Propulsion: Strengthening Collaboration Between Industry and Academia.

Authors have been invited to submit abstracts related to the following topics:

    – Structural Dynamics
    – Unsteady Flows
  • Combustor & Combustion
  • Compressors
  • Energy Systems & Carriers, Energy Transition & Renewables
  • Instrumentation, Monitoring & Diagnostics
  • Numerical Methods
    – Controls
    – Modeling
    – Optimization
    – Uncertainty Quantification
  • Secondary Flows
    – Cooling
    – Ducts & Nozzles
    – Sealing
  • Thermal Cycles & Heat Transfer
  • Turbines

Preparing your Conference Presentation: Movie Backup

We ask for a backup movie of your presentation as described below. This will be used in case of poor or lost internet connection, you will still be expected to answer questions in person via Zoom. We recommend you record your narration with slides directly in Microsoft Powerpoint (tutorial here). Alternatively, you can record you screen using OBS studio on a PC, or use Quicktime screen recording on a Mac. Movies should be 18 minutes long, recorded at 1080p resolution or below and no more than 250MB, any questions please contact Ben Newton.

The deadline to upload a pre-recorded presentation is Thursday April 7th. Please upload your movie files here.

Submission Guidelines

Final acceptance of papers will be determined by peer review of the draft manuscripts and approval of final papers by the Review Chair. If warranted by review, papers may also be recommended for publication in the GPPS associated journal.

One Author for each paper published in the Conference must attend to present. A registration fee is required.

All presented papers will be published preceding the Conference, with selected papers published within the GPPS associated journal after the event.

Please note: Where applicable, approval of your paper by your associated company is often required. 

Copyright Notice

Authors of the Xi’an21 Technical Conference will retain the copyright for submitted papers published as Conference Proceedings.
