A word from the Editor

The GPPS Journal has been developed to serve the global power and propulsion community in the time of change. The Journal, with its close link to the GPPS technical conference series, has played and continues to play a uniquely important role. I very much appreciate the contributions made and the solid foundation laid by the founding Editor (Prof. Howard Hodson), the associate editors and the editorial office team, and believe that with the help of all involved, including the reviewers and authors, the Journal can and will be progressed further, in terms of the quality and speed of the publications and terms of the impact on academic and industrial communities of the society.

GPPS is embracing the new technology by lowering costs and reducing time to publication. This is an exciting opportunity for our community.

Information on the submission process as well as preparing the manuscript for publication can be found by clicking on the tab marked “Instructions for Authors”. This link will take you to a part of the Journal website where you will find the “Author Guidelines”. Further information can also be found there including that on copyright and licences.

Being an Open Access publication, GPPS receives no revenue from the Journal. However, papers that have previously been published at a refereed GPPS Forum or Conference will not incur an Article Processing Charge (APC), providing that there are no excess pages. All other papers will incur a small APC. Information on these charges can be found on our website.

In both cases, these papers undergo an extensive review process aimed at maintaining the high standards of the GPPS Journal’
