The GPPS Forum 27, titled “Turbulent Times, Transformative Technologies: Engineering the Future of Power and Propulsion,” will take place at ETH Zurich in Switzerland next January, bringing together researchers and industry to discuss ongoing changes in the energy and propulsion landscape.

In an era shaped by geopolitical volatility, climate imperatives, and rapid technological disruption, the power and propulsion sectors are undergoing profound transformation.Turbulent Times, Transformative Technologies reflects this dual reality—where established systems are challenged and new paradigms emerge across energy and aviation. The Forum will bring together perspectives from policy, research, industry, and academia to explore the evolving role of gas turbines alongside advances in electric propulsion, fuel cells, energy storage, and low-carbon systems.

Discussions will also highlight the technologies driving this transition and pathways toward resilient, sustainable power and propulsion.
