Tram to ETH Zurich
Take Tram 10 from Zurich Airport:
- Upon arriving at Zurich Airport, follow the signs to the tram station, which is located at the front of the arrivals terminal.
- Tickets should be purchased in advance from the counter or machine; you need a valid ticket to Zurich city
- Board tram 10, which is labeled “Bahnhofplatz/HB – ETH/Universitätsspital.” The journey takes approximately 35 minutes. The tram stops directly at ETH Zurich (stop: ETH/Universitätsspital).
The tram operates daily from 6 am to 12 pm with trams departing every 7 to 15 minutes.
Train to Zurich Main Station/ ETH Zurich
- Alternatively, take a train from the Zurich Airport train station to Zurich Hauptbahnhof (Zurich HB, the main train station). Trains such as the S2, S16, and IC run frequently, and the journey takes just 10–15 minutes.
- Tickets can be bought from the ticket desk or machine.
- From Zurich HB, transfer to tram 6 or tram 10. Tram 6 (direction: Zoo) and tram 10 (direction: Bahnhofplatz/HB – ETH/Universitätsspital) both stop at ETH/Universitätsspital. This option is quicker but requires a transfer.
Taxi to Zurich Main Station/ ETH
Taxis are available directly outside the airport terminals. A taxi ride to ETH Zurich takes approximately 20–30 minutes, depending on traffic. A taxi will cost approximatley 60CHF

Arriving at ETH Zurich: Forum Location
Arriving at the ETH main building front entrance, registration can be found in the main hall directly ahead.
Once registered proceed to the F floor via the stairs to your right, or alternatively using the elevator.
Both Forum and Seminar will be sign posted once arriving on the F floor.
