Gala Dinner Musical Entertainment
Valentina Marghinotti was born in Cagliari, Italy. After her Bachelor in Greek and Latin Literatures, she devoted herself entirely to Music and earned her degrees with full marks in Singing at the “G.P. da Palestrina” Conservatory in Cagliari, at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel and at the Zürcher Hochschule der Künste guided by the swiss Mezzo Yvonne Naef. She also attended Masterclasses with some of the leading operatic singers in Europe such as Thomas Hampson, Luciana Serra, Vivica Genaux, Bernadette Manca di Nissa, Katia Pellegrino, Cheryl Studer, Antonio Juvarra, Karen Saillant, Peggy Bouveret, Sara Mingardo, Gloria Banditelli. Between Europe, South America and India she developed her career and debuted roles such as Donna Elvira in Mozart’s Don Giovanni, Pleasure in Händel’s The Triumph of Time and Disillusion, Ilia in Hasse’s Enea in Caonia, Curra in Verdi’s Forza del Destino, Bellangère in Ariane and Barbe-bleue of Paul Dukas, the Angel in Händel’s Jephtha, Papagena in Mozart’s Magic Flute, the Lady- in-waiting in Verdi’s Macbeth, Serpina in Pergolesi’s Serva Padrona and many others, singing in Venues like Tonhalle Zürich, Theater Basel and the Torlonia Theater in Rome.
She performed as a soloist at the International Music Festival Chopin and in 2017 in Warsaw, where she took part in a unique recording (Ed. Glossa) of the 1st version of Verdi’s Macbeth, with Fabio Biondi and Europa Galante Orchestra, at the Theater Wielki (Polish National Opera). She won the 1st Price at the 7th Baroque Music International Competition “Principe Francesco Maria Ruspoli” and the 1st Place in the “4th Competition for young singers of Sardinia” in Sassari (Italy).
