Coronavirus (COVID-19)

GPPS is closely monitoring the ongoing Coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. As the situation develops, our main priority remains the health and well-being of our community.

At this point, we are still optimistic regarding the GPPS Chania20 event in September and working hard with authors, reviewers, and other providers to make this conference a safe and fruitful event. All of the GPPS Chania20 team will endeavor to enable as many papers as possible to pass through the review process and be included in the conference in September.

We will continue to monitor and keep the community informed on any decisions as and when they happen.

Latest Update: 25/03/20
Due to the extenuating circumstances many of our authors are working under, we have revised the delivery schedule to enable as many high-quality papers as possible to pass through the review process. To see the updated schedule visit our official call for papers.

GPPS Chania20

The next GPPS European Technical Conference will be held in Chania, Crete on the 7th - 9th September 2020. The event is designed to bring together technical paper presenters, allowing young academic talents to present and discuss their research work.

Participants of the GPPS Chania20 technical conference will be some of the first to receive the soon-to-be released open access geometries and data sets from selected engineering institutes across the globe. GPPS will be using the event to distribute the data during the event, with the longer term expectation of making it openly available to the Power & Propulsion community.

In the public domain there are very few turbomachinery geometries and accompanying validation data. To combat this shortage the GPPS Chania20 technical conference will be proposing a special session dedicated to:

a) presenting the open access geometries and data sets to researchers, and
b) enabling discussion and access to any upcoming test cases.

The strategy of GPPS is to make this data readily available to all researchers; and we invite any new research conducted with this data to be presented at future GPPS conferences.
