Turbomachinery Technical Conference in Europe 2024

We are delighted to announce the return of our Technical Conference to the beautiful city of Chania in Crete, Greece, scheduled for September 4-6, 2024. The Chania24 Technical Conference is poised to provide a unique platform for professionals in both industry and academia to reconnect with peers and stay abreast of the latest advancements in turbomachinery technologies worldwide.

Due to the overwhelmingly positive feedback received from the 2022 event, we are thrilled to return to this captivating Greek island and look forward to meeting everyone once again.

Our conferences prioritize delivering high-quality research content, including parallel paper presentations, invited keynotes, and integrated sessions centered on GPPS open-access geometries and datasets to enhance your experience.

The conference will be chaired by Prof. Alessandro Corsini from Sapienza University of Rome (Italy) and co-chaired by Prof. Budimir Rosic from the University of Oxford (UK) Prof. Grant Ingram from Durham University (UK) will be serving as the Review Chair, and Prof. Ioannis Nikolos of the Technical University of Crete (Greece) as local liaison chair. 

The esteemed Organizing Committee brings extensive knowledge and research expertise to this event. Being held in-person, the conference will offer attendees a valuable international platform to showcase their research.

Constructed in 2002, the Minoa Palace Resort Hotel in Chania has solidified its position as one of the premier 5-star resorts in the enchanting city of Chania, Crete. The conference venue boasts convenient accessibility to the local international airport and is complemented by excellent bus connections to the charming historic town of Chania.

Additionally, post-conference hours, indulge in relaxation at the luxurious hotel complex, unwind by the hotel swimming pool, or engage in further discussions on the scenic beach adjacent to the hotel.

As a global organization based in Switzerland, the Global Power and Propulsion Society (GPPS) is committed to provide a platform for exchange of ideas independent of nationality, origin, or any other factor.
