The Global Power and Propulsion Society has issued a Call for Papers for its 2022 International Technical Conference to be held in Chania, Greece on the island of Crete taking place on the 12th to 14th September, 2022.

The focus of the conference is Shaping the Future by Climate-Neutral Power & Propulsion Technology.
Authors have been invited to submit abstracts related to the following topics:

  • Energy Systems & Carriers, Energy Transition, and Renewables
  • Instrumentation & Testing
  • Mechanics
    – Noise
    – Acoustics
    – Structural Dynamics
    – Unsteady Flows
  • Monitoring & Diagnostics
  • Numerical Methods
        – Controls
        – Modeling
        – Optimization
        – Uncertainty Quantification
  • Secondary Flow & Heat Transfer
        – Sealing    
        – Ducts & Nozzles
        – Cooling
  • Thermal Cycles & Engine Cycles
  • Turbines

Submission Guidelines

Authors should submit updates to their papers through the GPPS webtool. For uploading and updating your submission please see our EasyChair instruction guidelines. Additional details regarding authors and affiliations should be kept up-to-date to enable accurate listing in the proceedings.

Final acceptance of papers will be determined by peer review of the draft manuscripts and approval of final papers by the Review Chair. If warranted by review, papers may also be recommended for publication in the GPPS  journal.

One Author for each paper published in the Conference must attend to present. A registration fee is required.

All presented papers will be published after the Conference, with selected papers published within the GPPS  journal after the event.

Please note: Where applicable, approval of your paper by your associated company is often required. 

Copyright Notice

Authors of the Chania22 Technical Conference will retain the copyright for submitted papers published as Conference Proceedings.
