Hervé joined Rolls-Royce in early 2018 following 5 years at the head of the Institute for Aerospace Technology (IAT) at the University of Nottingham (and 15 years at the University as the chair of Applied Fluid Mechanics at the University). Hervé and his team provide an internal world-class platforms capability to Rolls-Royce, tasked with exploring advanced and disruptive concepts, protecting the Group, enabling conversations on novel concepts with externals and supporting future propositions in sectors relevant to RR. He has been working on hydrogen concepts for the past 5.5 years, which led to the RR Hydrogen Accelerator Programme which run its first aeroengine, a modified AE2100, on 100% hydrogen in 2022.
