Keynote 10: Sustainable Aviation Fuel
Volkmar Pflug is Vice President and Field of Action Lead for Power-to-X at Siemens Energy. In this strategic roll he drives innovation and develops the portfolio for hydrogen and Power-to-X solution for decarbonization and sector coupling. In 2018, he initiated a Power-to-X taskforce and started to develop first projects, in particular for eFuel production. Volkmar is also member on the board of VDMA Power-to-X-for-Applications and the eFuel Alliance and represents Siemens Energy in the Energy Business Council of the IEA to help to define a supporting regulatory framework.
Before, Volkmar had various strategic and operational roles in energy and IT sector, such as head of Energy Consulting, Market and Competitive Intelligence, Strategy Development Asia, head of Product Management of Instrumentation and Controls.
Volkmar Pflug owns a master’s degree in Physics, a master’s degree in business economics, and a PhD in Computer Sciences.
