Keynote 14: Energy Storage (but not only Hydrogen and Batteries!) towards Future Zero-Carbon Energy Systems
Stefano Barberis, PhD (male, Professional Engineer, Project Manager). He received his PhD in Turbomachinery and Advanced Energy Systems Engineering at University of Genova in 2016. He is a Senior Mechanical Engineer with expertise in renewable energy sources, project management, techno-economical feasibility studies, research activities on energy storage, hydrogen and renewable energy systems, due diligence, innovation and technology transfer. He is currently appointed as Researcher and Assistant Professor at University of Genova in the Thermochemical Power Group (Www.tpg.unige.it/TPG). He has worked for almost 6 years as part of Innovation for Energy R&I division at Rina Consulting managing the activities of different European funded Projects (also coordinating some of them like EVERYWH2ERE, ENGIMMONIA, SOLARSCO2OL) dealing with electrical and thermal power production, renewable energy, hydrogen and energy efficiency.
He has been author of more than 30 publications on International Journal and conferences and he’s member of BluEnergyRevolution company. His Research activity is focused on thermo-economics of energy storage, Power-to-X and high temperature thermal storage.
