Forum22 Speakers: Vasilis Gkoutzamanis

Vasilis Gkoutzamanis is a Post-Doctoral Researcher at Laboratory of Fluid Mechanics and Turbomachinery, in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, in Greece. He is also a junior lecturer in aircraft engines. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering focusing on energy integration of hybrid power and propulsion systems. Moreover, he holds a BSc in Physics and an MSc in Energy Systems (Renewable Energy stream). He has more than 5 years of experience in National and European Research & Innovation projects as a research associate and, he currently is the vice-coordinator of project HECARRUS which investigates the conceptual design of a hybrid-electric commuter aircraft. Vasilis is also a member of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).
