Brigitte Bittar received her engineering degree in mechanical and aeronautical sciences in 1994 and continued her study for a PhD on fracture and fatigue of titanium aluminides until 1998. At that date, she joined the Materials Lab in Rolls-Royce plc in Derby where she performed failure investigations on numerous engines parts and also coordinated the European Research Materials roadmap for the Engine Management Industry Group. (EIMG). In 2001, Brigitte joined Rolls-Royce Deutschland where she performed several management jobs in R&T and development, getting involved in the T900 and T 1000 development and R&T programme management. Since 2011, Brigitte works at Safran Aircraft Engines, successively as Program Manager for the Open Rotor, then Product Strategy manager and LEAP-1B program Manager and currenty as R&T Program Manager. She represents Safran Aircraft Engines in the EIMG since 2020.
