Prof. Seung Jin Song

Seung Jin Song is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Seoul National University. His current research interests include aerodynamics and fluid-structure interactions in turbomachinery, cavitation in rocket turbopumps, and transitional boundary layers.

Prof. Song has received Best Paper Awards from the International Gas Turbine Institute (IGTI) and the Melville Medal, the highest academic honor bestowed by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). He has also received the Best Teacher Award from the College of Engineering at Seoul National University.

Prof. Song has served as a member of the Board of Directors and Chair of IGTI. He is a founding member of the Global Power and Propulsion Society (GPPS) and currently serves on its Executive Committee. He is Vice President of the Korean Society for Fluid Machinery (KSFM) and a member of the International Advisory Committee of the Gas Turbine Society of Japan (GTSJ).
