GPPS Chania22: Keynote Speaker

Mirko Restemeier

Mirko Restemeier is an Engineering Manager at Siemens Energy.
In a dual role he is leading a global team in technology development and gas turbine component design. This includes the field of turbine aero-dynamic design of hot gas path components for the large gas turbine portfolio. Further he is responsible for implementing an advanced design strategy with 3D tools to ultimately reduce turbine design time by 70% while assuring quality and robust design. He is also responsible for the aerodynamic design methods and the collaboration with the respective tools and technology groups.

Mirko joined Siemens Energy in 2012 taking part in various development programs and drove the successful harmonization of gas turbine performance prediction. He was leading a project team of component IPT‘s for a major upgrade of a 50Hz F-class engine including final design and casting PPQ phase. In the beginning he managed the successful implementation of a superior test prototype test program for the power turbine and conducted measurement campaigns on sites in Amsterdam and the Philippines.
