Prof. Andreas Huber

Andreas is director of the Institute of Combustion Technology at the German Aerospace center (DLR) and Professor at the Institute of Combustion Technology for Aerospace Engineering at the University of Stuttgart. He has gained a long-time experience in combustion science and technology with various positions in academia (Institute of Thermodynamics – TUM, Institute of combustion technology – DLR) and industry (Alstom (Switzerland) Ltd, Walter Dreizler GmbH).

His research and development activities include the design of fuel-flexible and low emission combustion systems for gas turbines, combustion systems for the generation of district heating, process heat and steam as well as innovative and highly efficient gas turbine-based combined heat and power system and propulsion systems. Andreas has numerical and practical experiences ranging from scientific fundamentals and basic design concepts up to designs on product level including certification processes.

Technical University of Munich, Dr.-Ing. in gas turbine combustion (2009), Dipl.-Ing. Mechanical Engineering with focus on Aeronautics and Astronautics (2001)
